Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess patient conditions and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including gastric lavage and botulinum toxin treatment when indicated.
- Monitor vital signs and manage acute care interventions for critically ill patients.
- Provide family planning education and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including MDS documentation, to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in an outpatient setting as needed.
- Deliver exceptional infant care when required, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice are upheld.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge within the ICU setting.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in an ICU or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential nursing functions with attention to detail and patient safety.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
