Duties

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and suture management.
- Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications related to oncology treatments.
- Provide pain management strategies tailored to each patient's condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
- Assist with memory care for patients experiencing cognitive challenges related to their condition.
- Support inpatient care by ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Experience
Candidates should have a valid Registered Nurse license with experience in oncology nursing preferred. Familiarity with the following skills is highly desirable:
- Cerner or other electronic health record systems
- Suture techniques
- Inpatient care protocols
- IV insertion procedures
- Infectious disease care practices
- Pain management methodologies
- Patient assessment techniques
- Toddler care experience is a plus
