Job Summary:
The School Guidance Specialist will provide support to the instructional process by working closely with teachers and staff to ensure students receive the best possible educational experience. This includes managing student placement, providing information to parents and students, and developing goals and plans for achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage student records and placement in accordance with district policies and procedures.
* Provide counseling services to students, including academic support and guidance on personal and social issues.
* Develop and implement plans to improve student achievement and behavior.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in school counseling or a related field.
* Teaching experience is preferred with an active TN school services license and Guidance endorsement.
* Demonstrated skills include organization, decision-making, verbal and written communication, and effective interpersonal relations.
