Job Summary
This position will provide assistance to the Sanitation Site Manager. The employee will also use a variety of chemicals and sanitation equipment to clean and sanitize food processing equipment.
Essential Functions
Provide assistance to the Site Manager in the management of the sanitation process and team members.
Ensure aisle ways and raw material storage area swept and trash cans dumped.
Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety procedures.
Maintain and proper use of equipment.
Ensure team members are following GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
Complete all daily paperwork required.
Remove all debris from machinery, floors, and contact points prior to cleaning.
Pre-rinse machinery and contact surfaces.
Foam scrub and rinse the entire processing room (i.e., walls, floors, food contact surfaces, equipment) prior to sanitizing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
At least 25 years of age or older.
Bilingual Spanish and English is required.
Must have reliable transportation.
Previous food plant sanitation experience a plus.
Detail-oriented.
Able to follow verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work as a team player and ability to work independently.
Time management skills.
Bilingual is preferred.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. 8-hour shifts, Tuesday - Saturday from 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm.
May be required to work some weekends. *Shift hours may vary based on plant production*

Education & Experience
Prior food plant sanitation experience preferred but not required.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred but not required.
