We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for a fun, active, and enriching summer camp. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for our campers. You will be responsible for leading activities, and ensuring the safety of all participants.
Duties
- Supervise and engage campers in daily activities, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
- Foster positive relationships with campers, encouraging teamwork and personal development.
- Administer first aid as necessary and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
- Communicate with Camp Director on issues regarding camp
- Maintain policies and procedures of camp, FAC, and DHS Licensing Requirements.

- Ability to work Monday-Friday
- Must be able to work all 10 weeks of camp (June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025)
- Shifts may vary during the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm
- Full-time and Part-time available
- Must successfully pass a background screen, complete DHS new hire training, as well as CPR & First Aid Certification and Training (all paid and offered in house)
- Your employment also includes a complimentary fitness membership at FAC
- At the end of camp, you will also have the opportunity to continue employment in our After School program or childcare in the Fall, should you want to stay with us when camp ends.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Plan and implement educational and recreational programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth.
- Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging participation and building relationships with campers.
- Manage behavior effectively, employing behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful environment.
- Provide support in areas of early childhood education and childhood development through structured activities.
- Assist in sports coaching or tutoring sessions as needed to enhance camper skills.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper needs and progress.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students or children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is highly desirable.
- strategies and classroom management techniques is beneficial.
- Experience in sports coaching, childcare, special education, or tutoring will be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
