Pet Groomer

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and customer service. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for using your own equipment and providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and deliver exceptional service that enhances the overall experience for both pets and their owners.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Utilize appropriate grooming tools and techniques to ensure the health and well-being of pets.
• Provide basic health checks on pets during grooming sessions, identifying any potential issues that may require further attention.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, preferences, and any observed health concerns.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, using animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
• Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or animal care.
• Strong skills in animal handling, including knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods.
• Familiarity with various breeds of dogs and cats, including their specific grooming needs.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
• Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift pets weighing up to 50 pounds comfortably.

Pay: $15.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
