Description of primary duties and responsibilities: |
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit: The Division of Legal, Audit, Risk and Compliance (LARC) assists Fayetteville State University in its mission by managing its ethical, legal, and regulatory responsibilities. The Division consists of the following units: Legal, Internal Audit, Title IX and Compliance, Equity, and Enterprise Risk Management. |

Primary Purpose of the Position: "Internal Only: Internal posting for permanent employees of Fayetteville State University only." The Deputy Compliance Officer plays a vital role in the University's response to sex and gender-based discrimination and harassment by providing Title IX case management with prevention programming and training. This position will work with the Office of Risk and Compliance/Chief Title IX Coordinator in compliance efforts pursuant to all applicable state and federal statutes and regulations. The position will work directly with individuals to provide guidance and consultation on rights, resources, and resolution options and facilitate reasonable supportive measures. The Title IX caseload will be comprised of reports of sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Cases involving other forms of sex and/or gender-based harassment and discrimination may also be assigned as needed. This position will be responsible for prevention and training programming offered on campus with support from the Office of Risk and Compliance/Title IX Coordinator. Presentation and material development are necessary, and public speaking will be frequent. The position requires some evening and weekend work, including on-call response, primarily via e-mail. |
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements: | A bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or other relevant area and four years of related professional experience, OR a master's degree in counseling, social work, or other relevant area and two years of related professional experience. |
