The Coordinator of Work-Based Learning will plan, implement, administer, and evaluate the collegiate Work-Based Learning (WBL) program; to maintain compliance with NCCCS policies and procedures; to assist in approval of Work-Based Learning (WBL) assignments and the monitoring of Work-Based Learning (WBL) work experience; to coordinate Work-Based Learning (WBL) programs and activities with other departments and divisions of the College.

Duties
Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of goals and objectives as directly related to Work-Based Learning (WBL).
- Perform overall coordination duties for Work-Based Learning (WBL).
- Conduct personal visits to new and existing employers in the area; maintain close contact with area employers to assure continued partnerships between the community and the College.
- Follow up with stakeholders at appropriate intervals to assess programs and employment. Record outcomes and provide any suggestions, if applicable, to the enhancement of the Work-Based Learning (WBL) program.
- Assist Faculty Coordinators with advising students in their educational, career, and personal development.
- Evaluate student educational plans and transcripts to determine Work-Based Learning (WBL) eligibility.
- Write and implement program procedures, standards, and agreements to align with local and state Work-Based Learning (WBL) policies and procedures.
- Assist students in developing Work-Based Learning (WBL) Measurable Learning Objectives (MLO’S).
- Assist Faculty Coordinators in the evaluation and grading of Work-Based Learning (WBL) students through on-site visits with employers and review of student records.
- Maintain records to document the activities of Work-Based Learning (WBL) participants.
- Collaborate with external agencies and serve as a liaison official regarding the requirements, placement processes, and policies of the Work-Based Learning (WBL) program.
- Develop, review, update, and recommend Work-Based Learning (WBL) brochures, handbooks, workbooks, and forms.
- Work directly with Faculty Coordinators to provide Work-Based Learning (WBL) program assistance.
- Plan, monitor, and provide input for annual Work-Based Learning (WBL) departmental budgets.
- Prepare regular data reports for the Associate Vice President for Corporate and Continuing Education, Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Services, and program Deans. Include proposed revisions and updates of course outlines and syllabi for approval.
- Develop internal and external marketing strategies, activities, and promotional materials for Work-Based Learning (WBL).
- Give oral presentations to student groups on campus and to civic and professional groups in the community regarding Work-Based Learning (WBL).
- Complete an annual audit on all Work-Based Learning (WBL) records and notebooks to ensure compliance with NCCCS requirements.
- Conduct annual professional development training workshops for FTCC faculty and staff involved in the provision of Work-Based Learning (WBL).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in career counseling, Work-Based Learning (WBL), or closely related field; or equivalent. A Master’s degree is desirable.
Four years of increasingly responsible experience in career counseling, placement, and Work-Based Learning (WBL).
