Position Summary
The role of the Production Supervisor is to supervise production leads and laborer employees on assigned shifts to ensure production guidelines are being met within established timing, quality, and cost standards. Trains, directs, coaches, and leads the production team in the day-to-day operations to meet production, safety, and quality requirements. Drives the communication of production goals and objectives, as well as results to effectively motivate the team to maintain a high standard of product quality while maximizing plant efficiencies.
Essential Functions
· Assigns and supervises team members in the performance of their assigned duties strongly emphasizing cost, quality, quantity, safety, and sanitation.
· Turn on machinery with help of Maintenance employee(s), ensure that all equipment is clean & in working conditions.
· Ensure that all ingredients and packaging are pre-staged and insufficient stocks (qty) for the current production run.
· Ensure that all measuring devices (scales, thermometers) are in place and in good working conditions.
· Perform all necessary verifications of the production process(es): weight checks, temperature checks, lot numbers and ensure that all those are recorded on production logs in a timely manner.
· Ensures that all line employees are following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and personal hygiene requirements.
· Maintains periodic checks to ensure proper usage of materials and makes daily production reports reflecting yields, cooler inventories, waste, safety, and GMPs.
· Counsels team members in good housekeeping, sanitation, safety and corrective action.
· Manage employees’ break/lunch schedules in a timely manner reducing downtime.
· Follow scheduled start and finish times to minimize overtime and accomplish production goals.
· Works closely with the Quality Assurance Department and Production to insure continuous production levels.
· Complete Daily Production Logs & Reports.
· Trains Team Members in the proper methods of carrying out assignments and developing good working habits.
· Cross-train employees in all tasks.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
· Must be able to perform repetitive functions.
· Must adhere to all company policies and regulatory guidelines.
· Must be able to accept direction from Department Leads and supervisors
· Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
· Must be able to communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
· Must be able to use knives, scales, and other cutting tools as necessary.
· Attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
