What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at Fays Marina?
Fay's Marina is a 13 acre multi-line dealership on Pine Lake in LaPorte, IN. We are open year round, and have 8 storage buildings. Mechanics must have tools and have a basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, Saturday's 8am - 3pm (when needed) (MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE)

The following duties include
- Work on inboard and outboard motors.
- Seasonal Preventative Maintenance (oil changes, replace belts & hoses, winterize)
- Evaluate & Repair Faulty Mechanical Systems
- Perform Diagnostics & Repair all types of engines, gearcase and outdrives
- Remove and Install engines, transom & outdrives
- Disassemble & Inspect Parts for Wear
- Communicate with Service Manager any Damage or Malfunction
- Trailering, launching, loading and running boats.
- Perform wiring on Engines, Trailers and Boat Systems
- Overhaul & Replace Carburetors, Starters, Pumps, Electrical & Fuel Systems
