Summary:
The Facility Technician III will install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment and systems, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. This role involves advanced maintenance of facility and production equipment, with a focus on preventative care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on facility equipment, electrical systems, and components to ensure safe and efficient operation while adhering to codes and regulations.
- Install, repair, and upkeep of production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and address electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues under supervision or guidance.
- Support building maintenance activities, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing tasks.
- Complete assigned Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and Work Orders within established timelines.
- Operate tools and equipment safely to perform maintenance and repair tasks as directed.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with additional maintenance-related tasks and projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED. required.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including at least 3 years using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance tracking and planning.
- Must be proficient in electrical work, including installing new electrical circuits (120VAC, 208/220VAC single and three-phase, 480VAC three-phase).
- Must have mechanical expertise in repairing and rebuilding vacuum pumps, assembling/disassembling office furniture, workbenches, roller conveyors, and similar equipment.
- Must have hands-on experience troubleshooting manufacturing and facility equipment, including compressed air systems, HVAC, hydraulics, plumbing, pneumatics, and controls.
- Must be experienced in pipe fitting and running copper, black, and PVC pipes, as well as performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) experience a plus.
- Welding experience a plus.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing workflows with flexibility and enthusiasm, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the company.
- Must have good communication skills because of daily contact with internal employees.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and a reference check.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, kneel, reach, grasp, have eye/hand/foot coordination, and occasionally type.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
- This position works in a typical office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
- Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
