Summary
The Operations Manager will lead the planning, direction, control, and profitability of sales and operations within company policies and guidelines, aiming to achieve district and company goals. The Operations Manager coordinates and supervises employees, participates in meetings, maintains customer relations, ensures work is performed to specifications, tracks work through reports and on-site inspections, reviews accounts, and ensures employee training occurs. Additionally, the role includes monitoring supply and equipment usage, administering safety programs, investigating accidents / incidents, ensuring adherence to company policies, maintaining quality control, responding to employee and customer concerns, and contributing to marketing efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The following are the key responsibilities of the Operations Manager :
Achieve District and Company Goals : Ensure all safety processes, techniques, and practices are effectively implemented and followed. Identify personnel with leadership potential and communicate succession plans. Develop team members to enable delegation of responsibilities.Sales and Marketing Support : Contribute to the company’s marketing and sales efforts. Maintain direct costs within or below budget, ensure quality performance, and maintain account profitability. Ensure timely reporting to support company areas. Retain customer relations through proper communication during Job Site Reviews (JSR).Personnel Management : Participate in the selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of personnel. Ensure processes are consistent with company policies and support employee training, safety techniques, and personal growth. Ensure salary and benefit needs align with district goals and marketing efforts. Continuously seek additional training opportunities for personal and employee development.Employee and Customer Satisfaction : Proactively participate in employee and customer satisfaction systems. Ensure understanding of customer needs and expectations, ensuring proper job schedules, inspections, and evaluations.Continuous Improvement and Innovation : Serve as the knowledge source for the district, assisting in assessing and monitoring quality improvement, work team development, training environments, safety compliance, and risk management. Recruit people who support the company’s mission and philosophy.Align with Company Mission and Values : Ensure all personnel understand and use the company's mission, vision, and core values to guide decisions concerning customers, team members, and company policies. Suggest improvements to practices and ensure compliance with company policies.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all company, district, state, and federal regulations. Administer competency-based training in key areas such as OSHA, safety practices, and employment regulations. Foster an environment sensitive to team member diversity.Additional Responsibilities : Regular and predictable attendance is required. Education and / or Experience
An associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is preferred.A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory position is required.Or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.Physical Demands
