FBGNC is looking for an energetic and self-starter Teacher who would like to work full-time as a Preschool Teacher for our Preschool.
What we are doing:
The Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center (FBGNC) is a 501c3 nonprofit community center that has been a pillar in the Crooked Creek community since 1984. It was created to promote civic, social, and personal responsibility in the Crooked Creek area; our services include providing programs that enhance the lives of individuals and families who live on Indianapolis’ northwest side.
FBGNC focuses on improving the quality of life for all clients, whether young, aging, or most vulnerable populations within our community. Within the center, we are incorporating inter-generational engagement-based programs, which include: dual-language preschool program, the introduction of Science, Technology, Engineering Art, Music and Math (STEAM) based curriculum into our before and aftercare programs, and health initiatives and social service need to support our families within Crooked Creek area.
FBGNC wishes to ensure all of our students are globally competitive. Each classroom will have an opportunity to access two different cultures, literature, history, different behaviors, traditions, and conversations. Teachers will work as a team and will have a chance to engage students within the language at least half of the school week or day, while the other half of the day can be in English.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of infants and preschoolers, incorporating instruction in Spanish.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning and individualized attention.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities, ensuring a collaborative approach to early childhood education.
- Assess and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS: 6a - 3p, 6:30a - 3:30p, or 7a - 4pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
