Material Take-Off Specialist – Growing Opportunities in Remington, IN
JOB SUMMARY:
As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a Material Take-Off Specialist to join our expanding team in Remington, IN. In this role, you will play a key part in our success by developing bills of materials for projects, assisting estimating and drafting teams, and ensuring seamless coordination with project managers and construction teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop parts lists, steel orders, truss orders, and special order requests for custom building projects.
- Collaborate closely with post-frame designers to enhance building constructability and print clarity.
- Assist in inventory accountability and resolve material issues as they arise.
- Work with field supervisors and crew leaders to evaluate material needs and ensure efficient utilization.
- Coordinate procurement and special-order details with the purchasing department.
- Investigate and resolve material shortages or surpluses alongside the construction team.
- Communicate with crew foremen to provide material guidance and answer project-related questions.
- Support Sales, Drafting, Estimating, and Operations teams with MTO expertise.
- Gain familiarity with building codes to assist design engineers in code review.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Construction Management or Drafting/Design, or 3-4 years of experience in post-frame construction with strong math skills (trigonometry/statistics).
- Proficiency in Windows-based software.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
- Adaptability to evolving project demands.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
REQUIREMENT:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software.
