Major Duties
- The incumbent provides professional-level experience to the Document Conversion Laboratory Unit (DocLab)’s records scanning and conversion functions for a wide variety of requests from Bureau and non-Bureau customers that involve paper documents, electronic media, and evidentiary materials.
- Applies technical analytical processes to the scanning and conversion functions of DocLab systems used to fulfill the business requirements of customer organizations.
- Ensures product quality throughout the scanning-conversion process; monitors operations to prevent defects and verify adherence to plans and requirements; analyzes and investigates trends or conditions then initiates needed corrective action.
- Performs research and assessments to clarify requests and projects, address the range of issues / problems involved, develop recommendations, and prepare or oversee preparation of responses. Collaborates to reach resolutions.
- Operates, monitors, and tests all systems used. Addresses inconsistencies and potential problems.
- Confirms that DocLab actions follow established security measures. Takes appropriate action when a "spill" occurs.
- Participates in the preparation of guidance, presentations, reports, and other results. Ensures effective communication of recommendations.
