Information Technology Intern – Summer 2025 - Data Management

What You’ll Do:
· Work closely with tenured developers to develop skills required for career in Information Technology.
· Gain real world experience related to project work, production support, and technical requirements.
· Explore different areas of Information Technology by participating in divisional activities.
· Learn about Farm Bureau Financial Services and the insurance industry by participating in organizational events.
· Learn about agile methodology by participating in daily stand ups, sprint planning, grooming and retros.
· Learn more about data management, ETL, SQL and Java while working with technical and business leaders.
Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
· Be a college student pursuing a Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree.
· Completion of coding courses such as database design, SQL or Java is preferred.
· Interest in Data Management (i.e. ETL, SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.).
· A quick learner who is looking to learn new concepts and ideas.
· Must have strong verbal & written communication skills and be a team player.
· Must possess good problem-solving skills.
· Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated.
· Be dependable and able to work in person Monday through Friday during summer 2025.
