Health Insurance Manager
Do you have health insurance experience and are ready to take your career to the next level? Then we have an opportunity for you! Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Health Insurance Manager to effectively lead our health insurance sales and retention efforts.
What You’ll Do: The Manager of Health Insurance Services will have an essential role in driving health insurance sales and retention by developing strong working relationships with our health insurance carrier partners, as well as providing support and training to our agents and their staff. In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote health insurance sales and drive cross-sell to other Farm Bureau Financial Services products.
- Develop and deliver training to Farm Bureau agents and sales associates to increase health insurance sales.
- Provide ongoing agent support to help grow and retain health business.
- Act as the primary relationship partner with our health carrier partners.
- Oversee staff supporting health insurance sales and assist in developing best practices and procedures.
- Monitor the health insurance market to understand the competitive landscape and regularity environment.
What it Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent, plus 5 years of relevant experience required.
- Must have or attain health licenses & complete annual Marketplace and Medicare certification.
- Strong knowledge of health products (individual and family plans, Medicare products and employer group) and ancillary products.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and decision-making skills required.
- Skilled with Microsoft products.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, work collaboratively, and perform within a team environment.
- Strong ability to multi-task in a face-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required. Travel up to 50% depending upon time of year.
- Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
