Job Title: Avionics Engineer
Job Location: Warner Robbins, GA
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide avionics engineering support for subsystem definition, development, integration, verification, and airworthiness certification of hardware/software systems.
- Support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management.
- Utilize knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements and support testing and certification.
- Attend technical reviews and provide advice on hardware/software integration and installation.
- Review program databases, and technical documents, and assist in performing assessments on compliance with specifications and airworthiness requirements.
- Provide support for the avionics team in the development of future upgrades and system requirements.
- Assist with materials solution analyses, design reviews, and translating user requirements into system requirements for aircraft systems.
- Assist in preparing technical documents, evaluations, engineering studies, and acquisition strategies, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and safety standards.
- Support project meetings, and reviews, and assist with engineering evaluations and deficiency corrections.
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of functional area experience in avionics engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and web applications.
- U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
This role requires a deep understanding of avionics systems, airworthiness certification, and the ability to support both the technical and regulatory aspects of aircraft systems development and integration.
Salary : $140,000 - $145,000
