Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day
operations of construction projects in Santa Clara County. As a Superintendent, you will be
the on-site leader ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the
highest quality standards. You’ll manage subcontractors, handle project logistics, enforce
safety standards, and maintain open lines of communication with all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is completed
according to the project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Supervise and direct field personnel, including subcontractors and laborers,ensuring tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Coordinate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery ofmaterials and resources.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence tosafety protocols.
Manage site logistics, including equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring properusage and availability.
Resolve issues and conflicts on-site promptly to prevent project delays.Enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with all applicable safetyregulations.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, engineers,clients, and other stakeholders.
Track and report project progress, including any delays, challenges, or changes toscope.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, progressreports, and safety reports.
Ensure quality control standards are met at every stage of the construction process.Attend project meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide inputon project strategies.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management,Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar constructionmanagement role, preferably in commercial or residential construction.
Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and buildingcodes.
Proven experience leading and coordinating teams of subcontractors andconstruction workers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and projectspecifications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Compensation & Benefits :
