Job Summary
The IT Project Manager plays a critical role in managing and supporting a wide range of project management functions, including planning, budgeting, organizing, research, and delivery of services. In this role, you will oversee project management and implementation for healthcare systems and applications, focusing on process development based on the policies and procedures set by the Project Management Office (PMO). You will manage projects in a healthcare environment, integrating both physician and facility aspects of the business. This position may also require supervision of employees or contract labor specific to a project.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Operational Support: Provide oversight for healthcare systems, applications, and process implementation, ensuring alignment with PMO standards and procedures.
- Project Coordination: Assist with the administration and coordination of project management functions, including planning, budgeting, and organizing.
- Data Integration: Oversee data integration between software systems and applications, ensuring seamless workflow between different platforms.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various teams, including physicians and healthcare facilities, to ensure that project goals are met.
- System Integration & Reporting: Lead projects involving data warehousing, data analytics, and report/dashboard development.
- Requirements Gathering: Help customers define their technology needs, clarify current and future requirements, and determine necessary resources.
- Project Scope & Budgeting: Participate in project budget development and maintain communication with customers to ensure projects are on track.
- Team Collaboration: Provide project assignments to the project team, manage scope, and ensure quality deliverables.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendors related to the project, ensuring deliverables meet project goals.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders, ensuring that they are up-to-date on project progress.
- Adherence to PMO Processes: Ensure that all project activities comply with PMO practices and standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of IT Project Management experience.
- Experience with implementing Business and Practice Management or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in physician offices or hospitals is preferred.
- Experience with applications such as Kronos, Lawson, McKesson, Cerner, or IDX is preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Additional Experience:
- Experience in managing projects involving data warehousing, data analytics, and reports/dashboard building.
- Proven ability to oversee data integrations between different software systems and applications.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and technical specialists on complex project implementations.
- Strong knowledge in business analysis, including capturing data requirements and design specifications for system integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in overseeing large-scale, complex IT project implementations in healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with hospital or healthcare IT systems, particularly in the areas of practice management and EMR systems.
- Business Analyst background with a focus on healthcare technology.
Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
- Six Sigma or Agile certifications are desirable.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Compensation Package:
- 1099 contract

- 8 hour shift
