Position Summary
The Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S / he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Network and Systems Engineer serves on Compassus IT's Technology Engineering team and is responsible for the design, installation, tuning, and support of the Company's networking services and infrastructure. Additionally, as a member of the Technology Engineering team, the Network and Systems Engineer will provide secondary support for all server and endpoint technologies, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Identity and Access Management technologies, mobile device management systems, and other technologies as needed. Limited travel could be required.
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Designs Compassus network services and infrastructure to meet the needs of each of our branch locations.
- Coordinates the installation and upgrades for Compassus networks with our branch offices, as well as, respective vendors and partners to ensure a smooth implementation.
- Monitors Compassus networks effectively by configuring monitoring technologies that will provide timely insights into the overall health of the network, including outage information and network capacity and utilization monitoring.
- Serves as Level 3 support for network outages, providing expert support and advice to our Level 1 and Level 2 support teams specific to outages and any other escalations.
- Supports our Identity and Access Management technologies as a member of the team to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Provides support and engineering expertise for all other technologies, including support of our Microsoft Office 365 tenant and related technologies, our Microsoft Azure tenant, Active Directory, and other technologies as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
