What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Accounting Analyst position at FCA?
The Technical Accounting Analyst is responsible for researching and assessing technical accounting guidance and support for Stellantis (primary focus on North America) on various complex accounting areas under IFRS. The Analyst will work closely with Corporate Accounting and other Finance teams to assist with proper accounting treatment on various business decisions, significant business transactions and agreements. The position involves working on special projects and evaluating the appropriate accounting treatment for exciting and unique situations. They will have exposure to senior levels of management in communicating identified accounting issues, new accounting impacts and other matters. The position is ideal for an experienced CPA who is enthusiastic about learning and who wants to transition from public accounting into corporate world while still being challenged.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; if no Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, must have a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Accounting designation
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or its equivalent
Must have 3 years of combined public accounting (Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred) and private industry accounting experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to research and document technical accounting issues and resolutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Audit experience
Knowledge of IFRS
Experience with SOX and internal controls
Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to translate complex accounting topics to non-finance business partners
Experience working on teams, including cross-functional teams and accountability for getting things done
Ability to work independently and adapt to on-demand projects as they arise
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in working style to effectively manage changes
