In-house manufacturing capabilities include: Transfer Press Stamping/Forming, Grob Forming, Flow Forming, Aluminum Die Casting, Electron Beam Welding, CNC Machining & Drilling and Assembly.
FCC is seeking experienced, ambitious and dedicated EHS Assistant Manager on 1st shift. This is a Salary Non Exempt position.
Role
Support the EHS Manager with the daily operations of the EHS Department. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate assignment of duties for associates.
- Ensure complete and accurate associate training (8-day OJT, Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews).
- Assist with developing EHS procedures.
- Knowledge of company policies and practices dealing with associate relations.
- Assist with department’s monthly budget, applying measures to decrease expenses.
- Oversee a complete environmental, health and safety program ensuring compliance with OSHA and IDEM as well as federal and state laws.
- Ensure the correct handling of all hazardous waste.
- Develop and maintain the department’s monthly budget implementing measures to decrease expense.
- Manage and oversee the companies ISO 14001 system ensuring compliance.
- Ensure accurate and efficient document control procedures.
- Communicate IT related issues to FCCI in order to maintain an effective network infrastructure.
- Oversee an effective facility security system to ensure associate safety .
- Develop and implement departmental continuous improvement activities.
- Promote and ensure conformance to the companies IATF 16949 procedures(Work Standards, Regulations, Quality Manual).
- Promote and ensure conformance to the companies ISO 14001 procedures(Recycling, Reducing Waste).
- Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Lead and improve department 5C activities.
- Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates.
- Additional projects assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree in Business Management/related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Environmental, health and safety
- RCRA/DOT training
- ISO 14001
- Supervisory
- Computer knowledge
Environmental/Working Conditions
- Essential functions of this job require the associate to regularly: sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, carry and lift
