Role
Oversee all operations within the Administrations Department including recruiting, employee engagement, wage compensation, benefits, document control, facility security. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain recruiting procedures to meet company needs as well as federal and state laws. Stay current on hiring laws and ensure company compliance.
- Ensure an effective onboarding process including orientation, to maintain consistent associate levels.
- Ensure the company has access to the widest possible pool of candidates to choose from, by effectively networking at conferences, job fairs, seminars, etc.
- Coordinate with other department heads in order to meet hiring needs.
- Develop and implement effective employee relations programs to build company morale.
- Analyze data in order to modify and design recruitment strategies. Develop, record and maintain company recruiting metrics.
- Develop, implement and maintain Human Resource policies to meet company needs as well as federal and state laws. Stay current on legislation affecting HR and ensure company compliance.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and confidentiality requirements, including but not limited to payroll and personnel records.
- Ensure complete and accurate associate training (8-day OJT, Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews).
- Approve complete and accurate department procedures.
- Ensure up to date job descriptions for all associates.
- Manage and oversee associate discipline according to the associate handbook. This requires being the company spokesperson as well as the associate advocate.
- Approve associate terminations ensuring that documents are accurate and non-discriminatory.
- Ensure the consistent application of associate benefits, FMLA and Short-Term Disability requirements.
- Develop and maintain the department’s monthly budget implementing measures to decrease expense.
- Create annual business plan outlining your department’s objectives. (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
- Create annual investment plans for department improvements (ergonomics, cost reductions)
- Create annual budget plan for department expenses.
- Ensure accurate and efficient document control procedures.
- Communicate IT related issues to FCCI in order to maintain an effective network infrastructure.
- Oversee an effective facility security system to ensure associate safety .
- Develop and implement departmental continuous improvement activities.
- Confirm weekly overtime plans.
- Promote and ensure conformance to the companies IATF 16949 procedures (Work Standards, Regulations, Quality Manual).
- Promote and ensure conformance to the companies ISO 14001 procedures (Recycling, Reducing Waste).
- Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Lead and improve department 5C activities.
- Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates.
- Additional projects assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources/Business Management/related field or equivalent work experience
