Peer Support Apprentice
Job Purpose
The purpose of peer support services is to assist individuals served in their recovery from behavioral health disorders. Peer Support Apprentices are designated to assist their peers in the process of recovery, to help build resilience, and provide hope that recovery is possible.
Qualifications
A Peer Support Apprentice (PSA) must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; with the expectation of successfully completing the Missouri Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) training and obtain CPS certification requirements by the Department of Mental Health within 90-days of hire-date and be supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined in the Code of State Regulations.
If obtainment of CPS training and certification is not fulfilled within the 90-day requirement, a documented reevaluation by program leadership with PSA of performance and barriers will be completed.
Core Job Duties
Operate as a role model, exhibiting managed / sustained personal recovery and advocate for person(s) served.
Develop the ability and skills to assist person(s) served in treatment, wellness, and resiliency in support of person(s) served recovery.
Assist CPS in providing peer services for person served in their recovery.
Support, encourage, and model recovery and resilience from behavioral health disorders in ways that are specific to the needs of each individual.
Help connect with other peers and their community at large
Help develop a network for information and support.
Identify strengths and goals.
Participates in the service, training, consultation, and other professional activities FCC services and functions as a collaborative member on the designated multidisciplinary team.
Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
Driver
Job Purpose
The Transportation Driver transports passengers in agency vans / vehicles over specified routes and / or distant points, according to time schedule, in a safe and professional manner. Drivers will be responsible for keeping the vehicles and equipment maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all the necessary supplies, completion of shift forms and maintaining FCCBH’s professional code of ethics.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Class “E” Chauffeurs Licenses
Minimum one (1) year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Must be able to work flexible hours, as needed.
Core Job Duties
Must maintain a safe driving record.
Conducts monthly vehicle inspections for assigned agency vans / vehicles.
Completion of daily pre-trip inspections to include checking of gas, oil, and water prior to departure to ensure passenger comfort and safety.
Ensures that assigned vehicles are exceptionally clean, inside and out, at all times.
Makes basic maintenance repairs and tire changes as needed and when possible.
Maintains awareness of maintenance schedule for assigned vehicle. Always meets schedule. Works with garage to maintain efficiency in scheduling.
Reports all preventable / unpreventable accidents and incidents in a timely and appropriate manner.
Transports passengers in a safe and professional manner at all times.
Assist passengers with walkers / wheelchairs and assist them when entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
Regulates heating and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
Complies with local and state traffic regulations.
Reports route delays to supervisor in a timely manner.
Capable of understanding directions and the ability to use I-pads accurately.
