Job Purpose
The Supportive Housing Worker is responsible for assuring a safe environment at the facility during the evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrates ability through prior work experience to be competent in the position
Core Job Duties
Monitor all individuals who enter the facility and ensure that they sign in and out.
Monitor facility cameras, fire alarms, etc. to ensure all are working properly.
Be fully trained to respond to crisis and emergency situations.
Participate in staff meetings to discuss concerns regarding programs and person(s) served.
Serve as an appropriate role model for person(s) served.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and / or mental disorders.
Supervise residential property to ensure person(s) served are following house rules.
Orient new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining facility rules and encouraging participation.
Provide feedback to the Treatment Team, via notes and / or staffing.
Document and report concerns and infractions.
Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
