Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor the Driver will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses and electric cables. Scale loads both heavy and light. They will be required to record tickets on daily logs.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor the Driver will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses and electric cables. Scale loads both heavy and light. They will be required to record tickets on daily logs.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspects truck by completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Inspects tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water
- Drives truck to destinations on company property
- Loads and unloads truck by using hydraulic powered lifts
- Write up work orders as needed to maintain and repair vehicle
- Uses radio to effectively communicate with other drivers and personnel
- Maintains proper housekeeping by keeping assigned vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out – including blowing out air filters for vehicle and AC units
- Maintain daily logs
- Pick up fallen debris on all transportation lanes or notify Supervisor or Manager if not feasible to do so
- Operate equipment in a safe manner by understanding and obeying all Federal, State and Local traffic rules and regulations
- Understanding of operating procedures for all three load outs (Old Loadout, New Loadout and 88 Line)
- Actively prevent the debris dropping from trucks due to over filling
- Must work in a team oriented fashion to ensure sort stoppage due to full or no trucks is held to an absolute minimum—this may mean shifting trucks between loadouts
- Must adhere to and follow all company policies and procedures
- Must adhere to and follow all company safety policies, not limited to continual use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma Preferred
- 1 year of driving experience, training, or a combination
- Class A license preferred
- Must be able to operate Manual Transmission Vehicles
