This position will lead a team of sales professionals, develop strategic sales plans, and build long-lasting client relationships while achieving sales targets.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust as needed to meet targets.
- Set individual sales goals and track performance for team members.
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the region, focusing on commercial, industrial, and municipal clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including facility managers, environmental managers, and business owners.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends within the waste management industry.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure their needs are met.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies as needed.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company’s services.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the waste management, environmental, or related industries.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
