FCCI Insurance Group is seeking a new teammate for our Actuarial Reserving unit. In this role, you will provide support for actuarial reserving and reporting while developing a strong foundation in actuarial concepts and principles. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Reserving team with quarterly reserve projections, data preparation, and report generation. This will involve extracting and processing input data, ensuring data accuracy, reviewing and updating models and assumptions, updating actuarial reports, documenting assumptions, and communicating results.

You will also possess a sound comprehension of actuarial principles and concepts, coupled with a strong math/statistics foundation, exceptional analytical abilities and keen attention to detail. Ultimately, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and high-quality outcomes of our actuarial processes, while serving the needs of our stakeholders. This position is based at our Home office campus in Sarasota, Florida (Lakewood Ranch) and it is eligible for FCCI’s hybrid work schedule: Working (3) days in the office and (2) days working remote.

The salary range for this position is $75,528-$116,313 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience
Required- Bachelors or better in mathematics, statistics, economics, or actuarial science.
- Minimum of two years of relevant actuarial reserving experience
- Comfortable with advanced Excel, and basic SQL, SAS, VBA, R and/or Python to analyze large data sets and automate routine tasks.
- Solid knowledge of the terminology and principles of statistics and strong mathematical skills to analyze complex data sets, develop models and perform risk assessments.
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles for performing financial analysis, assessing risk, and making financial forecasts.
- Basic knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
- Ability to collect, organize, compile, summarize and analyze technical data adequately.
- Ability to prepare charts, graphs, diagrams and other pictorial representation of statistical data.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize & manage multiple tasks while working under tight deadlines.
- Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam
