FCCI is currently seeking a Director of Communications. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the company’s communication strategies that align with business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to foster positive relationships across the organization.
This position is in our corporate headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, and reports to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
Strategic Vision and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that supports the company's vision and objectives. Ensure alignment with business goals and market positioning.
Leadership and Influence: Lead and inspire a high-performing communications team. Demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop team members.
Business Acumen: Utilize deep understanding of the business landscape to craft messages that resonate with stakeholders and drive business outcomes. Integrate business insights into communication strategies.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, employees, media, and industry partners. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Execution and Delivery: Oversee the execution of communication plans and initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery of results. Measure and report on the impact of communication efforts.
Making a Lasting Difference: Champion initiatives that enhance the company's reputation and contribute to long-term success. Drive efforts that make a meaningful impact on the organization and its stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Apply strategic thinking to identify opportunities and challenges in the communications landscape. Develop innovative solutions to address complex issues.
Organizational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Ensure seamless coordination and execution of communication activities.
Process Development and Implementation: Design and implement processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the communications function. Continuously improve communication workflows and practices.

The salary range for this position is $128,396-$197,729 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
