Job Summary
The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Sr Manager, Transfort to join our Transfort Department. This is a full time salaried position with the City with an anticipated hiring salary range of $108,000-$132,000 a year! The Sr Manager, Transfort will be responsible to provide vision, direction and guidance to various Transfort teams, including but not limited to Project Management, Compliance and Grants, and program administration. This role will provide consultation to department heads and Transfort staff as needed with a focus on excellence for internal and external relationship building, stakeholder management, and coordination in support of department goals and objectives. This role will serve as an integral contributor and/or lead on high-impact projects, process improvement, and as a Transfort leadership team member. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience including at least 1 year of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provides strategic support and leadership to multiple Transfort & Dial-A-Ride divisions, ensuring alignment and collaboration with the Director, City leadership, and annual work plan items.
- Serves as a critical member of the Transfort & Dial-A-Ride leadership team while overseeing one or more divisions directly. Divisions may include: Compliance, Dial-A-Ride, Assets, Analytics, Service Planning, Operations, Administration.
- Offers systems and data-driven thinking to leverage the strengths and opportunities among all Transfort & Dial-A-Ride divisions, as well as other City departments and partners.
- Builds strong relationships and makes meaningful connections with employees and partners, representing the Transfort Director, department, and City.
- Leads the development of new policies, programs, and projects to align with adopted plans,
- Transit Master Plan, City’s Strategic Plan, and Council priorities.
- Guide the effective efforts of transit service planning, project development, construction, maintenance and operations, and the provision of transit services.
- Leads staff in working to provide the effective and safe movement of people throughout the community.
- Provide ongoing support as needed to the City Council, various boards and commissions, and ad hoc committees on matters within the scope of oversight and responsibilities.
- Facilitates communications with external agencies and groups.
- Consults on the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and the department's annual budget based on overall City goals and objectives, with other members of the leadership team.
- Ensure that all Transfort and Dial-A-Ride programs, projects, and operations are carried out in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
