We are seeking an experienced Product Designer / IT Healthcare Tech Consultant with a deep background in product design to help drive digital transformation in healthcare. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technology, user experience, and clinical needs—leveraging your expertise in product design, user research, and digital health solutions to create seamless, user-centered experiences.
This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on problem solver who understands the complexities of healthcare technology, from EHR integrations to patient engagement platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams—including clinicians, engineers, and business leaders—to assess, design, and implement intuitive and effective digital solutions that enhance provider workflows and patient experiences.
What You’ll Do
● Consult on digital health solutions, ensuring usability, accessibility, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
● Lead user research and workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies and design interventions that improve provider and patient experiences.
● Translate complex clinical and technical requirements into intuitive digital products, leveraging your product design expertise.
● Evaluate and optimize existing healthcare IT systems, identifying pain points and areas for innovation.
● Collaborate with engineering teams to implement user-centered design principles in healthcare software development.
● Support product strategy and roadmap development, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
● Troubleshoot IT and UX-related issues, helping healthcare teams navigate digital tools effectively.
● Develop prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design solutions to stakeholders.
Who You Are
● 4 years of experience in healthcare IT, digital health, or product design with a strong focus on user experience and system optimization.
● Expertise in EHRs, clinical workflows, patient portals, and healthcare compliance.
● Strong background in product design, UX/UI, and user research, with the ability to design and implement human-centered digital solutions.
● Experience working with healthcare stakeholders, including clinicians, IT teams, and executives.
● Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and able to lead projects from ideation to implementation.
● Strong communication and consulting skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points
● Background in Webflow, no-code tools, or front-end development to support healthcare IT implementations.
● Previous work with healthcare startups, payers, or providers.
