Job Title : Market Vice President / Office Manager

Reports To : Regional President NWIA
Job Purpose :
Manage staff and perform duties in settlement services, abstracting and business development / public relations activities. Business development to include collaboration with network locations. This role offers the flexibility to be based in either our LeMars or Orange City office, depending on the candidate's preference and convenience.
Essential Functions and Typical Tasks :
I. Function : Manage operations.
A. Typical Tasks :
1. Supervise and coach staff. Conduct performance reviews.
2. Determine and monitor production flow and make necessary adjustments.
3. Hire new staff when necessary.
4. Conduct staff meetings.
5. Resolve escalated problems with customers and staff.
6. Monitor and authorize expenses.
7. Work with South Dakota headquarters management to ensure dependable computer support and database maintenance.
8. Provide reports to management regarding branch volumes and activities.
B. Performance Meets Minimum Expectations When :
1. Performance evaluations are timely.
2. Annual goals are met within acceptable parameters.
3. Manages within budget parameters.
II. Function : Settlement Services / Abstract Production
A. Typical Tasks :
1. Basic proficiency in title product search and exam practices.
2. Basic proficiency in closing document production.
3. Monitor and address issues on daily reconciliation reports for escrow account.
4. Present closing papers / loan documents.
5. Answer client questions as appropriate.
B. Performance Meets Minimum Expectations When :
1. Production is achieved within acceptable timeframes.
2. Feedback from customers and agents is positive.
III. Function : Perform business development and public relations activities.
A. Typical Tasks :
1. Participate in select community organizations / activities.
2. Attend community social events and engage customers in the events as appropriate.
3. Develop and implement a business development plan.
4. Call regularly on lenders, realtors and law firms to generate business (both existing and potential customers).
5. Maintain an understanding of regional housing market.
B. Performance Meets Minimum Expectations When :
1. Attends civic meetings with satisfactory consistency as work volume allows.
2. Feedback from existing and potential customers is positive regarding communication.
3. Reporting is timely and management is satisfied with level of information reported.
4. Business development plans are met.

Combination of education / experience and technical skills that enable employee to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :
Requires working the hours it takes to get the job done. Time spent outside of the office on business development will require some travel.
