Job Title: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor - DFW

Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

FEAM Aero is currently seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor. The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor reports to the GSE Manager and is responsible for assisting the GSE operation.


Job Duties:

  • Coordination of activities within the GSE department based on the GSE Manager's direction.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of all GSE/fleet maintenance equipment.
  • Inspects GSE/Automotive vehicles and its components for the purpose of ensuring safety, identifying necessary repairs, and overseeing an ongoing program of preventative maintenance.
  • Ensures that personnel during their shift follow the company’s prescribed safety practices in the performance of their duties.
  • Maintains tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items in safe operating conditions.
  • Works with the GSE Manager to meet department goals and maintain costs.
  • Responsible for completing all associated forms and reports for GSE/fleet Maintenance services including but not limited to billing, accidents, audits, training, service checks, and inventories.
  • Ensure the GSE/Automotive shop is maintained in a neat and organized manner.
  • Liaise with the customer as required; ensuring proper work performance and customer needs are met.
  • Prepares and sends out daily turnover to appropriate departments identifying the status of vehicles and equipment.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the GSE Manager and other departments as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic electrical and mechanical diagrams, and basic measuring tools, and must own basic hand tools.
  • Must have basic computer skills, such as using Excel, Word and Abode.  
  • Must pass airport security background checks, have a flexible schedule, and travel for work as required.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, and noise.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
  • Ability to work on back and under or overhead vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
  • Be able to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposed to loud noises.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in diesel and gas maintenance of automobiles and truck maintenance and ground support equipment in a similar field.
  • Fleet maintenance of medium duty preferred.
  • Experience in the repair of both auto and truck fleet mechanical preferred.
  • Willingness to assist with a wide range of requests and needs.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
