With over 40 grand champion titles and a reputation for producing collegiate and professional dancers, we strive to provide elite training in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and leaps & turns. We are seeking an exceptional Technical Dance Instructor to join our team and elevate our competition dancers through high-level technical training and innovative choreography.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Choreography
- Lead advanced training in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and leaps & turns with a focus on precision, technique, and artistic development.
- Choreograph high-caliber, innovative, and competitive routines that align with current industry trends and judging criteria.
- Tailor instruction to individual student needs, providing detailed feedback and progress plans.
- Ensure dancers develop strong foundational skills and advanced technical abilities.
Student Engagement & Mentorship
- Foster an encouraging and disciplined class environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.
- Act as a mentor and role model, instilling confidence, perseverance, and a professional work ethic in dancers.
- Develop structured lesson plans that balance technical rigor with creative exploration.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with the studio’s leadership and other instructors to align training programs and choreography goals.
- Stay up to date with current trends, teaching methodologies, and competition standards.
- Contribute ideas to enhance the competitive dance curriculum and studio programs.
Administrative & Organizational Duties
- Maintain class attendance records and track student progress.
- Assist in competition preparation, including rehearsals, costume coordination, and routine adjustments based on judges’ feedback.
- Participate in studio events, showcases, and workshops.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching and choreographing for competitive dancers.
- Expertise in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and leaps & turns training.
- Proven success in choreographing winning competition routines.
- Ability to lead independently, maintain structure, and drive results in a high-performance environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and push dancers to their highest potential.
- Understanding of competition scoring and judging criteria.
- Experience mentoring dancers for collegiate teams and professional opportunities is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree in Dance or Performing Arts (or equivalent experience).
- Former competitive dancer or professional performer.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time position with structured class hours and additional rehearsal/choreography sessions as needed.
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
