What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Safety/Quality Assurance Technician position at Feast & Fettle Inc.?
Feast & Fettle is searching for a Food Safety/Quality Assurance Technician to assist FSQ Management in the maintenance of overall product quality and safety. The FSQA Tech will also assist in the effective completion of tasks and documentation of FSQ responsibilities.

What will the Food Safety/Quality Assurance Tech do?
Receive leadership and daily direction from shift FSQ Manager.
Routinely observe production activities to assure consistency and conformance to standards, as well as provide improvement suggestions.
Assist in the effective completion and documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled tasks as required.
Notify FSQ Manager when non-conformances are noted, assist with scheduling product evaluations, and assure proper documentation.
Assist with verification and validation by collecting the required data.
When requested, perform finished product testing effectively documenting the review/any findings.
Maintain the condition of the FSQ supplies required for daily operation.
Conduct Food Safety Inspections in the production environment (i.e. allergen change overs, sanitation practices, product storage, and safe food handling)
Conduct Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasks
Execute visual chemistry tests on raw materials, water sources, in-process samples, environmental samples and finished products
May be responsible for performing auditing for batch adherence and label and code quality.
Tracking, verification and data entry of raw material specification and COAs.
Inform the team of raw material issues.
Operate, maintain and validate laboratory instruments as required.
Ensure compliance of incoming labels and packaging.
May complete FSQ related production records to assure conformance to requirements.
Inspect finished product for food safety hazards including foreign material.
Other duties with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.
What does a strong applicant for this position have?
High School Diploma preferred
AS/BS in Food Related Field welcomed
Food manufacturing or Food Handling experience required
FSQA experience preferred
QC experience preferred
Customer service experience welcomed
