Feast & Fettle is seeking an experienced INVENTORY SPECIALIST to join Product Team
operations at our production kitchen facility located in East Providence.
This hourly role will have a base schedule of Wednesday - Sunday, 2pm-10pm and report to our Inventory Control Supervisor.

What does an Inventory Specialist at F&F do?
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the intake, storage, and rotation of food inventory to ensure optimal quality and food safety standards. This role calls for a mindset that treats each department down the line as an important internal customer. It’s key to build strong working relationships, understand what each team needs, and consistently deliver work that helps them operate smoothly and successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Rotation and Management:
oPerform daily product rotation for all cold, frozen, dry, non-dead stock items,
ensuring compliance with FIFO rotation.
oConduct quality and expiration date checks during rotation.
oConsolidate all storage areas daily while staging receiving locations for your
internal customers.
Storage Area Maintenance:
oPerform scheduled cleaning program for all storage areas to maintain cleanliness
and food safety standards.
Receiving and Intake:
oAid the intake of food deliveries, ensuring accuracy in quality, quantity, and
storage requirements.
oConduct quality checks and implement FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.oManage deliveries five days a week, including core ingredients and special
orders.
Food Safety Compliance:
Perform daily food safety audits, including quality checks, expiration date
verifications, and inspection of packaging integrity.
oIdentify and catalog compromised or improperly stored inventory for appropriate
disposal and report said results to the Inventory Control Manager and Purchasing
Manager for reconciliation.
Food Donation and Composting:
oExecute and document all food composting, donations, and waste using internal
documents.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices and food safety standards.
- Ability to lift and move inventory as needed.
- Experience in food handling or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with production teams.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated and/or frozen environment for up to 8 hours per day
What does a strong applicant for this position have?
1 year experience (relevant experience such as shipping & receiving, warehousing, food
manufacturing, or food/beverage industry)
Physically able to lift items weighing fifty (50) pounds
Basic understanding of general food ingredients and food safety
ServSafe Manager certified (if not currently certified, must be certified within 60 days)
Food Allergen Awareness certified (if not currently certified, must be certified within 60
days)
Forklift Operator certification (if not currently certified, must be certified within 60 days)
