Food and Beverage Receiver

We are one of the few farm to table catering companies in the area, using seasonal and local ingredients from our partnerships with local farms in southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. With a talented and diverse kitchen team, we are able to offer a wide range of culinary dishes and styles for any occasion.

Role Description
The receiver will work directly with the purchasing manager in receiving, inspecting, and cross-checking product and invoices from our purveyors. Perform daily quality control, inventory management, and food and equipment storage organization. Assist culinary department in identifying and locating product. Occasional light food prep such as brining, and entry level protein breakdown.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong knowledge of different cuisines and ingredients
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Able to stand or walk at a brisk pace for 8 hours a day
• Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures in walk-in reefer and freezers
• Ability to take and follow directions properly
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or warehouse setting
• Basic culinary skills
• Food safety and sanitation certificate is a plus
• Valid license and reliable transportation are preferred
