As an On-Call Banquet Server, you will be responsible for serving patrons by providing information to help food and beverage selections; presenting ordered choices; maintaining dining ambiance; and ensuring an elevated experience for all guests.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:• Part-time position (On-call), including evenings, weekends and holidays. Flexibility in work hours is preferred.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:• Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.• Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.• Transmits orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.• Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen, delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.• Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring about needs; observing dining process.• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.• Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, inviting patrons to return.• Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to hostperson; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.• Assists in the set up and break down of dining room or banquet room configurations.• Flexible to work a variety of foodservice venues.• Can read and enforce Club communication tools for multiple venue operations.• Remember repeat guests and their dining preferences and special information.

Education and/or Experience:
• Associate’s degree preferred but not required.• Previous banquet experience preferred
Computer Skills:• Basic software knowledge in MS Word, Excel and reservation system.• Knowledge in a restaurant point of sale service platform preferred.
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:• Work is performed in a restaurant environment both indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active member and employee communication; May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping. May also be subject to moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds with assistance and objects more than 50 pounds with assistance. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended period.
• In addition, the candidate for this position must own reliable transportation, have good conversational English skills, be punctual and present themselves in an appropriate manner for a Country Club environment.
