Programmer/ Analyst Developer
Reports To: IT Manager
Location: Cresco, IA
Job Summary:
The ERP Developer will have the responsibility of analyzing, defining, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to support Featherlite Exiss Sooner systems, including our Epicor ERP system – current Epicor version is 11.2.200.12. This will include working with an experienced IT team to learn the current systems, processes, and procedures. This is a very hands-on programming development position utilizing Microsoft and Epicor ERP tools.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop Epicor and other system customizations as needed, including Dashboards, BAQ’s and Screen modifications.
- Lead programming on new systems development projects.
- Lead programming maintenance on existing systems, including custom trailer configurator and quoting tool
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Work with Technical Staff to assist in resolving problems with software products.
- Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Train end users to operate new or modified programs.
- Schedule and perform software improvements and upgrades.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred 2-5 five years related work experience in absence of formal education.
- Proficiency in VB.NET and/or C#.NET, SSRS and SQL are required
- Experience in EPICOR ERP software Designing and maintaining BAQs, Crystal Reports, SSRS reports, and dashboards a plus
- Creating data driven integrations between Epicor ERP and other business systems a plus
- Experience programming in Manufacturing environment a plus
- Experience interfacing with Autodesk products a plus
- Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
- Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
