Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Position Summary:
This position will drive back and forth between our 2 Distribution Center locations. There will be a daily run and you will transport material and supplies, load and unload material from trucks, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to drive a truck with a clutch & maneuver to dock locations.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, forklift, pallet Jacks, or other equipment.
- Ability to read internal shipping documents/manifests.
- Load and unload rolls of material from pallets, trucks, and secure cargo.
- Frequently lift and carry rolls of fabric for 4 hrs. in and out of the warehouse and in and out of the truck
- Push, pull, lift and carry tubs of cut parts up to 50 lbs. throughout workday to various locations at both plants
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A valid driver’s license is require
- Previous experience using RF handheld scanners preferred.
- Warehouse experience is a plus but not required for consideration.
- Must be able to drive a truck with a clutch, and maneuver to dock locations.
- Capacity to work independently or within a team environment and follow direction.
- Use basic math skills (arithmetic)
- Know how to use a ruler/yardstick.
- Basic language communication skills
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Physical Requirements:
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving trucks or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, or using pallet jackets, etc.
- Must be able to lift-up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk 8 hours per day.
