FED is searching for a Foreman with specific knowledge and qualified job experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings. This position requires physical labor, and all work is performed on a job site. This person should be timely, driven, and have leadership qualities to manage a team. Objectives and Competencies:
Typical duties of a PEMB Foreman would include the following requirements of the position:
- Proficient and knowledgeable of the erection of Chief and Nucor steel packages.
- Ability to verify anchor bolts and framed openings.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the willingness to train and mentor crew.
- Must have the capability to review the weekly use of hours against the schedule and projected hours of the project to meet/exceed project expectations.
- Ensure each project is built within FED Corporation standards, to specifications and within the schedule allotted.
- Coordinate weekly manpower through the creation of a weekly schedule.
- Professionalism in conducting conversations and interactions with FED Clients and Customers.
- Possess a mindful approach to the quality and craftmanship of every project.
- Must be able to lead a team in the following categories:
- Erecting steel
- Effective crew assignments.
- Installing insulation
- Install sheeting, roofing, and walls.
- Erect mezzanines and handrails as required.
- Structural steel fabrication and erecting
- Train in the effective use of tools and equipment according to the scope of the project.
- Sustainability to lead a team in a variety of weather elements, including extreme warm/cold temperatures.
- Must have the ability to receive a certification to operate.
- Using Procore, must be able to accurately articulate daily logs.
- Be mindful of cost coding relative to all scopes of the project, while accurately accounting for each crew member’s time against the allocated hours.
Education and Experience: Minimum five (5) years in the management and leadership of steel building erection. Knowledge of Procore is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time in all forms of weather. Employees will be asked to lift and move materials by bending and reaching.
