What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst. Director, Marketing position at Fed Soc?
This role will assist with the day-to-day management of the Society’s social media accounts, prioritizing elevating the Society’s voice and engaging in the top legal discussions of the day. This role will also assist with managing the organization's digital advertising efforts, producing and distributing graphic and video content, social coverage of live events, and implementing innovative marketing efforts.
The role requires some experience with digital marketing, ideally in a policy or educational institution. The candidate will be comfortable with distilling legal and policy concepts into readily consumed content. The role requires working independently, with a drive to move projects forward, and the ability to thoroughly address multiple tasks at once. The candidate will be someone who takes initiative, contributes innovative ideas, and can collaborate well with others.
Job Duties include :
- Drafting and curating social media content that drives conversations and engages with the legal community on relevant / timely issues. This would include pulling together rapid response threads, editing copy for promoting the Society's events and content, creating quick turnaround graphics, and monitoring and responding with top legal / policy experts in real-time.
- Providing social media coverage of high-profile events including coordinating attendee interviews, pulling speaker clips, and posting noteworthy moments from the event.
- Distributing graphics, short-form video content, and promotion requests across all major social media.
- Analyzing metrics to inform the overall effectiveness of social media strategy, digital advertising efforts, and other marketing outlets.
- Coordinating with advertising contractors to draft, implement, and evaluate effective digital ads strategy.
- Supporting other divisions of the Society with marketing service requests including event promotions, creating and ordering programs and print materials, releasing videos on YouTube, etc.
- Drafting and distributing Weekly Roundup emails of previous week’s content and upcoming events.
