What You'll Be Doing...
FedChoice is looking for a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Credit Union’s operational budgeting and financial planning activities. Conducting highly technical finance and accounting-based research and analysis, projects, and reports, to provide Executive Management and BOD financial data and advice for their use in setting and realizing profit objectives. Ensuring all reporting requirements are accurate, complete, and timely.
Key Area of Focus...
- Assumes responsibility for effectively performing financial analyses.
- Projects ROI, product margins, and other financial models and evaluations, and reports analyses to Senior Management.
- Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of financial recordkeeping.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory financial reporting requirements.
- Ensures the timely maintenance of financial reports, insurance forms, and investment evaluations.
- Assists the Chief Financial Officer in developing, implementing, and monitoring of the Credit Union’s operational budget.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management as deemed appropriate.
Requirements
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in a credit union or similar financial institution preferably in the accounting, finance, or treasury department.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including mastery of Excel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work on a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on-site.
Preferred:
- Excellent knowledge of corporate financial analyses and risk management practices.
- Understanding of general market principles and pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with ProfitStar or other forecasting software applications.
- Symitar knowledge and experience is a plus.
