Housekeeping Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for inspecting quality control of all assignments during all working hours. Responsible for assisting Project Manager with employee safety training.
• Responsible for maintaining proper inventory control of supplies and materials needed for the cleaning program.
• Responsible for managing employees effectively during shift and that all work is being performed to standard
• Report to the Project Manager any employee relation issues, performance issues
• Holding daily meeting the shift crew providing updates and encouraging feedback that would assist in providing a safer work environment
• Complete necessary reporting Action logs, Spill logs and radio logs
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them with provided facilities equipment
• Perform trash removal and replace containers with empty bags
• Service, supply and clean restrooms including all fixtures; toilets, urinals, partitions, walls, vents and mirrors
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
• Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment
• Patrol entire site for any trash and/or spills that needs to be cleaned

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk and/or stand for a minimum of four (4) hours at a time, non-stop. Must be able to bend from waist, hips, and knees; reach over head as well as in any direction to arm’s length, or crouch for short periods of time, less than two minutes each, as many as two hundred (200) times per four (4) hour shift. Must be able to kneel on knees only or on knees and hands for periods of time up to thirty (30) minutes each as many as twenty (20) times per four (4) hour shift. Must be able to climb flights of stairs, escalators or ladders as many as fifty (50) times per four (4) hour shift for a maximum length of ten (10) minutes each. Must be able to lift containers, boxes and packages of all shapes and sizes weighing between one and twenty-five (1-25) pounds, with or without help, as many as one hundred (100) times during a four (4) hour shift. Must be able to carry objects of all shapes and sizes weighing up to fifteen (15) pounds, with or without help, over as much as three (3) acres of space five to ten (5-10) times per four (4) hour shift. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to read instruction and follow them exactly. Must be able to use simple hand tools including, but not limited to, hand vacuums, upright vacuums, mops, brushes, brooms, cloths, locks, scrapers, safety razors, hoses, buckets and wringer set-ups, spray bottles, etc. This can be strenuous work and always requires a great deal of physical ability and stamina. It also requires good vision or corrected vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and the ability to be on your feet for a minimum of four (4) hours per day.

Requirements:

• Previous Janitorial Supervisor experience of 2 years
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Shift: Mondays through Sundays - open times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
