Salary: GS-14, $126,233.00 - $164,102.00
Full Performance level: GS-14
Number of Positions Available: 4
Duration: Full Time/Permanent
A 25% Recruitment Incentive will be offered to eligible candidates. Additionally, eligible candidates may receive a cost transfer. Candidates receiving a Recruitment Incentive will be required to sign a two-year Service Agreement.
Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

Major Duties:
- Serves as an Assessment Psychologist in the Human Resources Division (HRD) who will be responsible for pre-employment psychological evaluations, assessments of applicants, and evaluations of employees for routine and emergent psychological fitness for duty concerns.
- Reviews documentation and medical reports provided by applicants to determine eligibility for employment and granting of a top secret clearance.
- Reviews documentation and completes psychological assessments to determine eligibility for continuation of a top secret clearance and suitability for employment.
- Consults with executive managers and Division heads regarding mental health issues impacting employees; performance of duties; ability to safely and effectively perform duties; safeguard matters of national security and address emergent situations or unstable psychological conditions.
- Liaises with other law enforcement and intelligence community entities regarding the management of behavioral and psychological concerns, in order to ensure consistency across agencies.
- Conducts research and benchmarking initiatives, develops policy and program development and conducts oversight strategies as subject matter experts.
- Provides agency-wide training in understanding and clarification of concerns related to psychological fitness for duty and the required reporting of mental health, substance abuse and behavioral concerns.
- Participates in oversight and quality assurance strategies and makes clinical recommendations to other assessment psychologists.

Positive Education Requirement

- Applicants MUST have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Experience in Clinical Psychology, to include assessment processes, clinical interviews, and interpretation of psychological tests.
- Experience providing clinical consultation and guidance to management and other professionals on agency-wide, sensitive issues.
- Experience conducting clinical interviews, gathering data, and developing reports containing mental health information.
- Experience providing clinical diagnoses, and treatment regimens as it relates to the impact of psychological issues on applicants or employees in day-to-day high stress/high demand work environments.
