Mission Statement:
The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Major Duties:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on biosecurity and/or chemical security issues to management, operational personnel, and others.
- Facilitate and/or participate in diverse and complex special and ad-hoc projects relating to chemical or biological sciences.
- Review work of staff members for accuracy, content and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Independently program manage with minimum supervision.
- Monitor and evaluate the post-implementation review phase for administrative/program enhancements or modifications.
- Develop and conduct complex presentations and briefings to executive management, inter-agency partners, public & private stakeholders and or/external entities.
- Liaise with managers, other government agency (OGA) partners, and/or private and academic sector partners, to respond to inquiries, solve problems and obtain accurate information to formulate sound conclusions.
- Develop, evaluate, and modify Statements of Work (SOW), Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) with chemical and/or biological course curriculum to ensure deliverables are met within compliance of federal regulations.

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Performing research on policy materials, directives, laws, and regulations to evaluate and develop ideas and techniques
- Gathering and analyzing information; identifying problems, causes, and relationships; making recommendations for solutions using sound judgement
- Communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to executive level management by making presentations and preparing formal and informal written documents in various formats
- Establishing and maintaining liaison with stakeholders within the FBI, law enforcement and intelligence communities, as well as other government agencies
