GS 11: $70,649.00 - $91,840.00

Working Conditions
- Must be willing and able to process violent crime scenes to include bodies, blood, autopsies and disturbing/sensitive/graphic material for extended periods of time.

- Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Software(Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator).
- Knowledge/aptitude of computer systems, adding programs/printers, troubleshooting problems.
- Knowledge of video editing, enhancing, and dealing with open source and proprietary formats.
- Knowledgeable in DSLR and Mirrorless camera operations such as shooting in manual, lens selection, flash, video capture, etc.
- Must become a member and train for participation in the FBI's Field Audio/Video Program (FAVP) and Digital Imaging Video Retrieval Team (DIVRT).
- Must work independently and keep up with knowledge/education and changes/enhancements to the Photography, FAVP, and DIVRT Programs.
This position is designated as "emergency." As an "emergency" employee, you may be expected to report to work during periods of adverse weather conditions or other types of emergency situations when it is announced that an "unscheduled leave policy" is in effect or that federal agencies are closed in your immediate vicinity.
Major Duties
- Performs a complex range of criminal and investigative photography involving the most complex surveillance, crime scene and site photographic surveys.
- Installs, modifies and adapts photographic and video techniques and processes for the purpose of the office’s social media pages, web designs, video production, presentations, briefing, etc. with regard to new and unprecedented situations.
- Operates highly specialized and sophisticated digital photographic/video equipment and computer multimedia applications for administrative and investigative requirements.
- Captures and processes all types of imagery relating to criminal, investigative, and public relations matters, including advertisements, promotional displays, training symposiums, etc.
- Performs crime scene and aerial photography in a variety of environmental conditions requiring calculation of proper exposure and focus.
- Develops regular content for multiple social media platforms in support of an office’s outreach efforts.
Additional Duties
- Develops regular content for the office's social media platforms by creating digital graphics and motion graphics.
- Incorporates text, images, audio, video, and/or animation for multimedia products such as public service announcements, promotional videos, and presentations.
- Captures and processes still and/or video imagery relating to public relations (including advertisements, promotional displays, training symposiums, etc.), criminal, and investigative matters.
- Updates, enhances, and maintains office's SharePoint and internal website.

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS 09: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 07 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Performed a variety of camera work to complete photography assignments.
- Used a variety of photography equipment.
- Maintained photography inventory.
- Provided technical advice regarding photography.
- Wrote communications to document items photographed.
GS 11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 09 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Performed photography work for law enforcement, involving complex assignments in a variety of situations.
- Performed photography work in an intelligence field using highly specialized cameras, which may have been adapted specifically for investigative or criminal photography.
- Performed crime scene and aerial photographic assignments.
Education
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience.
