Summary This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) and serves as a Senior IT Specialist for the Database, Tools and Content Unit (DTCU) and has the primary responsibility for developing and maintaining platform solutions, capabilities, and services to support the strategy and business needs for enterprise document management and cloud-based, self-service platforms, such as MPP, O365, and Azure. Responsibilities At the full performance level, major duties include : Provides technical expertise in developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform (MPP) strategies, designs, and solutions to meet a variety of business needs. Develops and maintains MPP target architecture and roadmap; and ensures architecture is captured in standard modeling tools and inventory systems. Leads the development and maintenance of effective MPP platforms that meet business and technical requirements in accordance with DTCU objectives. Supports project teams by researching MPP and integration technologies, design and deployment alternatives, and by providing expertise in procurement of products and services. Background Investigation (BI) required. Qualifications Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience participating in Microsoft Power Platform (MPP) developing strategies, designs, and solutions to meet an agency’s business needs; managing platform architecture, governance and roadmap; and supporting citizen development. AND You must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies :

  • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
