Join the team at Federal Rent-A-Fence in Asheboro, NC! We’ve had a yard in this area for years, and we’re looking for an a new Fence Installer or Helper to support our growing temporary fence operations. You’ll start by joining our foreman on a truck, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as our operations grow. All interviews will be conducted over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install & Remove Fencing: Install temporary fencing to meet customer expectations and industry standards. Ensure that every installation is done safely and efficiently.
• Daily Operations: Inspect and test vehicle and equipment daily to ensure safety. Load trucks with necessary equipment, secure loads, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Customer Relations: Meet with customers, review jobs, discuss and obtain approval for any additional charges, and secure payment for COD jobs. Complete contracts daily, and submit all paperwork and work tickets after each job.
• Team Leadership: Train helpers on fence installation duties. As we grow, you’ll take on more responsibility, managing additional crews and yard employees.
• Safety & Compliance: Perform duties in compliance with all safety regulations, including attending safety meetings and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Decision Making & Planning: Use your experience and judgment to plan and perform both routine and challenging tasks. Handle frequent decision-making and problem-solving on job sites, all while maintaining clear and professional communication.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in Temporary Fence Installation: You’ve got experience securing job sites with temporary fences and are ready to lead.
• Strong Network in Manning: If you have a strong network of friends or family in the area, it’s a major plus! Recruiting foremen and helpers is a key part of our growth plan and can drive higher pay.
• OSHA 10 Certification: preferred, though not required.
• Driver’s License & Clean Driving History (Optional): A driver’s license is not required, but higher pay is available for those who can drive and meet company guidelines. This position requires driving non-CDL loads, and a CDL is not required.
• Dependability & Teamwork: Show up on time, be reliable, and work well with your team to get the job done.
• Communication & Problem Solving: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents. Must be able to make decisions and execute plans effectively in the field.
